The Mexican holiday of Cinco De Mayo commemorates the victory of the Mexicans over the French army at The Battle of Puebla in 1862. What better way to celebrate the fifth of May—and all summer—than with Mexico’s most famous export, tequila!


 

 
 


Cinco de Mayo Cocktails

Livin la Vida Rita

˝ oz. Jose Cuervo Especial
˝ oz. Ciroc Vodka
˝ oz. Oronoco rum
2 oz.  Pineapple Juice
1 oz.  Orange Juice
˝ oz. Cream of Coconut
Pineapple slice
Crushed Ice

Preparation: In a blender, add tequila, vodka, rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass with ice.  Garnish with pineapple slice

 

Grillers Chillers

1.5 oz. Jose Cuervo Especial
3 oz. Grapefruit Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1 slice Lime

Preparation: Rub rim of a tall glass with half a lime and dip into salt
Fill halfway with ice. Add Jose Cuervo and grapefruit soda. Stir well.

 

Don Julio Margarita Legendario

1 oz. Don Julio Blanco
˝ oz. Grand Marnier
˝ oz. fresh lime juice
1 wedge lime

Preparation: Add Don Julio Blanco, Grand Marnier, and fresh lime juice. Shake and strain over ice. Salt rim of rocks glass. Garnish with lime wedge.

 

Cuervo Mojito

1.5 oz. Jose Cuervo Especial
8 Leaves Fresh Mint
˝ tbsp Sugar
˝ tbsp. Lime juice
0.3 oz. Chilled Club Soda

Preparation: Fill a glass halfway with ice. Crush mint leaves using back of a spoon. Add to the glass with sugar and lime juice. Add tequila
