These signature drinks from the Ducks and Drakes restaurant and bar in Leavenworth, WA, were created when owner and mixologist Donovan Swan was trying to make the best of a mistake. As it turned out, he made two very good drinks. “Our restaurant was mistakenly delivered a case of Oregon Chai tea by our food distributor. An employee opened it, making it unreturnable,” says Donovan. How to move the Chai tea? He created two drinks, mixing the tea with Goldschlager and with Butterscotch schnapps. The case emptied quickly. But with the success, he’s had to keep the tea on hand. |
