Brigadeiro (bree-gah-day-ro) is a popular Brazilian sweet
traditionally made with condensed milk and cocoa. These
mouth-watering treats have a soft and silky texture akin to a
bonbon. They were created in 1940's and named after the famous
Brigadier Eduardo Gomes, a presidential candidate. They were so
famous and appreciated among the brigadier's entourage that these
delicious sweets finally spread throughout Brazil.
