Hot New Cocktail Premiers, Ebony & Ivory by
Sweden's Bartender of the Year 2008

Fredrik Lindfors, head bartender at the Grand Hotel Stockholm Cadier Bar, was named Sweden’s 2008 Bartender of the Year. His prizewinning cocktail, Ebony & Ivory, is a rich blend of DeKuyper Butterscotch, Licor 43, Monin Chocolate, cream, vanilla sugar and a strawberry.

Arranged by the Swedish Bartenders' Guild, the Bartender of the Year competition consists of two classes: Classic Style and Flair. Judging is based on taste, technique, and appearance. Lindfors’ Ebony & Ivory creation brought him the win in the Classic Style category. He will represent Sweden in the World Cocktail Competition in October.

The mixologist has been serving his signature cocktails for nearly two years at the Cadier Bar. He takes particular satisfaction in helping guests discover new tastes, introducing them to classic cocktails as well as personal creations that are sure to satisfy the thirstiest of patrons.

After a $4.4 million overhaul, the Cadier Bar is the ideal setting for the Bartender of the Year to serve his award-winning concoctions. The stylish and sophisticated décor of the 4,575 square-foot bar area make it an ideal setting for discerning travelers as well as stylish Stockholmers. The Cadier Bar offers seating for 100 guests and unrivalled views of the harbor, Old Town, and Royal Palace. The Grand Hotel Stockholm, an Intercontinental Hotel, is a member of Leading Hotels of the World.
