Five Steps
To Survive the Office Party

Holiday office parties can be once-a-year chances to have a great time with co-workers— or to damage a career. The number one misstep that makes people w overstep boundaries and lose good  judgment? Alcohol misjudgment, of course. Here are five tips from acai spirit VeeV to help office partiers have a blast not a huge hangover!

  1. Start the Night Happy, Not Hungry: Food helps slow down the absorption of alcohol, giving the body more time to metabolize the toxins. Start your night with a medium-size meal, and nibble on snacks throughout the evening.

  2. Choose Light(er) Spirits: Sipping drinks with lower alcohol content allows party goers to toast without getting buzzed too quickly.

  3. Keep Hydrated: Avoid the dehydration trap by drinking a small glass of water in between cocktails.

  4. Stick To One Kind Of Alcohol: Follow the golden rule of surviving any party hangover-free by steering clear of mixing different types of alcohol. Choose a favorite spirit of the night and stick with it.

  5. Say No To Drinks Made with Dark Liquors: The clearer the drink, the fewer problems the next morning. Dark liquors contain more toxic chemicals (congeners) than clear ones, which are widely responsible for nasty headaches. Brandy, red wine, rum, and whisky fall in this category.

VeeV, the world’s first Açai Spirit, was created in 2007 by brothers Courtney and Carter Reum, following their return from a surfing trip in Brazil during which they tasted the “super fruit” acai (pronounced ah-SIGH-ee). VeeV mixes like a vodka, and is enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in mixed drinks.
