Four New Holiday Cocktails

Midori Peppermint Kiss

1 oz Midori Melon Liqueur
1 oz Skyy Vodka
3 oz Pineapple juice
¼ oz fresh lemon juice
¼ oz Peppermint Schnapps
6 Basil Leaves, gently torn in half, (to release oils)

In a chilled shaker glass, add all the above ingredients. Add ice, shake for 15 seconds, strain into a Collins glass. Garnish with a basil leaf and one raspberry sitting in front of basil in glass.

 

Jingle Bell

TY KU Liqueur
Splash of Citrus Vodka

Garnish with a cherry on top.

 

 

 

Ginger Noggin

1.5oz Domaine de Canton
0.25oz Orange Liqueur (Combier)
1.5oz homemade eggnog and a pinch each of ground nutmeg and cinnamon.In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake ingredients and strain into a Coupe glass.

 

 

 

 

Merry Irishman

2 parts Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey
1 part Kahlua
½ part Mint Schnapps

Serve over ice in a Rocks glass
Garnish with candy cane
Stir and garnish with matcha powder.

 

New Takes on Three Favorites

Tullamore Toddy (hot)

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
3 pieces Cardamon
2 pieces Anise
1 tablespoon Allspice
1 very small Vanilla Stick (or half a large one)

Heat brown sugar and water to a simmer, add spices. When adding vanilla pod, cut down the middle and scrape out the insides into the pot.  When this “Toddy Mix” is done, mix 1 ½ oz of it with 1 ½ oz of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey.  Garnish with a lemon peel, possibly flamed or cinnamon stick.

 

Caramel Apple Martini

1-1/2 oz Apple cider or juice
1-1/2 oz Van Gogh Wild Apple Vodka
1/2 oz Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka
1/2 oz Apple Schnapps

Glaze the inside of a chilled martini glass with caramel syrup and place glass in the refrigerator until ready to use.  Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.  Strain into chilled glass glazed with caramel syrup. Float a thinly sliced apple round (seeds removed) on top.

 

Eggnog Martini
Created for Lon's at The Hermosa, Scottsdale, AZ

1 1/2 oz Meyer's dark rum
1 oz       Captain Morgan's spiced rum
1/2 oz    Stoli Vanil vodka
3 oz       Lon's Homemade Eggnog
1/4 oz    Simple syrup

Combine Meyer’s dark rum, Captain Morgan’s spiced rum, Stoli Vanil Vodka with Lon’s homemade Eggnog and a touch of simple syrup in an ice-filled martini shaker. Shake well, strain and pour into a honey-dipped chilled martini glass with crushed graham cracker rim. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
