These two holiday recipes—one a Christmas tradition, the other a New Year specialty—are from Point South Mountain Resort in Phoenix, a four-diamond, 360-suite property with six dining venues.


 

 
 


The Candy Cane
From Latitude 30°, Pointe South Mountain Resort

2 ounces Vanilla vodka
3/4 ounce Peppermint Schnapps or Rumple Mintz
1 ounce  Sprite
Splash of grenadine

Shake all ingredients in a martini shaker. Place a candy cane on the rim of a martini glass, and garnish the cocktail with a mint leaf.

 

 

 

Midnight Kiss
From Phantom Horse Grill, Pointe South Mountain Resort

1 1/2 ounces Stoli Blueberry Vodka
1 ounce Chambord
1 ounce Pineapple juice
Splash of cranberry juice

Pour 1 ounce of pineapple juice into a chilled martini glass. Add a lemon slice (not a wedge) to pineapple juice. This helps separate the pineapple juice from remaining ingredients and creates a colorful presentation.

In a mixer, combine 1 1/2 ounces Stoli Blueberry Vodka, Chambord and cranberry juice. Shake and gently strain into the martini glass containing pineapple juice and lemon slice.
