Triple Crown Julep

Here are two minty cocktails for a Kentucky Derby themed party the first Saturday in May.

2 oz Maestro Dobel Diamond Tequila
8 fresh mint leaves
1oz agave syrup
2oz ginger ale

Build cocktail in glass. Need to shake. Start with mint then add the agave and tequila. Stir and top with ginger ale. Serve in a rocks glass with fresh mint leaves throughout the drink. Liquid should be a dark champagne hue.

Original Bacardi Mojito

1 part Bacardi Superior Rum
3 parts club soda
12 mint leaves
½ lime
½ part sugar

Place 12 mint leaves, ½ part sugar and ½ lime in glass. Muddle well. Add Bacardi Superior Rum. Top off with club soda, stir well and garnish with sprigs of mint or a lime wheel.
