Lon's at The Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley, AZ, offers a refreshing way to beat the heat this summer. Enjoy a Megargee Mojito, named for cowboy artist Lon Megargee whose historic ranch house is today the site of Lon's at The Hermosa Inn. Lon's twist on the classic mojito features orange peel rum for a citrus-flavored kick.

Megargee Mojito

12 Fresh mint leaves (Lon's uses mint from its on-site organic herb garden.)
1/2 ounce Lime juice, freshly squeezed
2 ounces Clement orange peel rum liqueur
2 tablespoons Simple syrup
3 1/2 ounces Club soda
3 1/2 ounces Sprite
Ice cubes
Orange slice garnish

Combine fresh mint and freshly squeezed lime juice and muddle together at the bottom of a tall 10-ounce glass. Add ice, orange peel rum, simple syrup, club soda and Sprite. Mix well. Garnish with an orange slice and serve.
