Tequila Heat


 

 


Leche Mexicana (Mexican Milk)

1 ½ parts Hornitos Plata Tequila
2 parts DeKuyper Creme de Cocoa White Cream
1 part half & half

Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake. Pour into an iced filled glass. (image 002)

 

 
 

Maple Paloma

2 oz Camarena Reposado Tequila
1 tsp maple syrup
4 oz grapefruit soda
1/2 oz fresh lime juice

Serve tall, over ice and garnish with a lime wedge.

 


These three cocktails were created by Ed McFarland of Ed’s Lobster Bar, New York.

901 Bloody Maria
Serves 4

2 oz of 901 Silver Tequila
10oz. Bloody Maria Mix (see recipe below)
1 lime wheel for garnish
1 celery stalk for garnish
1 Oyster (optional)
Ice

Bloody Maria Mix
(makes four servings):
36 oz tomato juice
2 Tbsp fresh horseradish
2 Tbsp ground spice mix (equal parts celery seed/mustard seed/black peppercorns)
0.25 Tbsp sugar
8 dashes Tabasco
4 ounces worcestershire sauce
3 ounces fresh lemon juice
1 ounces pickle juice
Juice from 1/2 large yellow onion, pureed, then strained

Mix all ingredients together. Fill four 14 oz glasses with ice and pour 2 oz of 901 Silver Tequila in each glass.

Pour bloody mix into each glass. Stir and garnish with lime wheel and celery stalk.

Serve a raw oyster with each drink (optional).

 

901 Chili Flake Margarita

2 oz 901 Silver Tequila
2 oz chili syrup (see recipe below)
2 oz fresh lime juice
Cube ice
Crushed Ice

Put cube ice in a shaker. Add 2 oz 901 Silver Tequila, 2 oz chili syrup and 2oz lime juice.

Cover and shake well.  Strain into a martini glass filled with crushed ice.

Repeat 3 more times.

Chili Syrup
(makes four servings)
3 cups water
½ cup sugar
2 tbsp crushed red pepper flake

In a pot, combine 3 cups water with ½ cup of sugar and 2 tbsp. of crushed red pepper flake reduce by half.  Remove from heat, strain and chill.

 

901 Cider with 901 Caramel Apple
Serves 4

10 oz 901 Silver Tequila
36 oz Apple Cider
4 slices 901 Silver Caramel Apples for garnish (see below)
4 tsp of caramel for garnish
Ice

Pour tequila over full pitcher of ice. Add apple cider and mix well. Pour into 12 oz glasses with the ice. Do not strain. Garnish each glass with 1 slice of caramel apple and drizzle a tsp of caramel sauce.

901 Caramel Apples
1 oz 901 Silver Tequila
8 oz dark brown sugar
2 tbsp water
3 tbsp heavy cream
1/2 apple cut in 1/4 inch slices

In a stainless steel pan mix sugar and water. Reduce by half over high heat stirring constantly. Add cream and reduce until thick (coats the back of a wooden spoon). Add 901 Silver Tequila to caramel, stir well, and remove from heat. Coat apple in caramel and refrigerate. Reserve the rest of the caramel for the cocktail.


Tequila Cazadores Mistletoe Margarita

1 1/2 parts Tequila Cazadores Reposado
2 parts pomegranate juice
1/2 part sour mix
1/2 part triple sec
1/2 part grenadine
Splash of fresh lime juice

Shake ingredients with ice and pour into a rocks glass. Garnish with a slice of lime.
