Three Brazilian Cocktails


 

 
 


Ribeiro-Pear Caipirini

2 oz. Leblon Cachaca
2 oz. pear nectar
1/2 tsp. simple syrup
1/2 lemon
A small piece of nutmeg
A pinch of nutmeg
A pinch of ground cinnamon

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a shaker and muddle with the ginger. Add the remaining ingredients and ice to the shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a pinch of nutmeg.

 

Longhi Caipirinha d'Uva

2 oz. Leblon Cachaca
1 oz. semi-sweet white wine
2 tsp. raw brown sugar
5 red grapes
½ lime, cut into wedges

Muddle the limes, grapes, and sugar in a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and add Leblon Cachaça. Shake well and serve in a rocks glass. Garnish with grapes.

 

Mourao Evergreen Caipirinha Pitcher

1 1/2 bottles Leblon Cachaca
3 bottles dry white wine
1 large bottle soda water
1Z2 bottle orange liqueur
12 oz. white cranberry juice
1 cup white sugar
4 limes, cut into wheels
4 kiwi, cut into wheels
2 green apples, chopped
1 cucumber, sliced
1 small bunch of green grapes
20 fresh sage leaves

Combine all of the ingredients, except for the soda water in a punch bowl. Let stand for two hours. Add the soda water just before serving and be sure to serve some of the fruit and herbs in each glass.
