Travel: Saigon Sisters Restaurant in Chicago


 

 


These drinks are featured at Saigon Sisters, a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant in Chicago's Fulton River District/West Loop neighborhood. The Saigon sisters, Mary Nguyen Aregoni and Theresa Nguyen, were born in Laos, lived in Vietnam and Thailand as children and came to the United States with their family in 1976.

Saigontini

1.5 oz  Hum liqueur *
2 oz     Premium Sake
2 oz     Pure coconut water
1 tsp    Cane sugar or simple syrup
1/2 tsp Lime juice

Pour all ingredients in ice shaker and strain in martini glass.

 

 

 

Saigon Fizz

1.5 oz Hum Liqueur*
1 oz    Coconut milk
2 oz    Sparkling orange drink (ie. Orangina or Aranciata)
2 oz    Sparkling wine or Prosecco
1        Lemon wheel
1        Kaffir lime leaf

Pour all ingredients except for sparkling drinks in ice shaker and pour into made of hibiscus glass with ice. Top off with sparkling drinks, stir, and serve.

*Hum Liqueur is a blend ofhibiscus, ginger, cardamom, sugar cane and kaffir lime made by humspirits.com
