Cutting-edge bartenders are going back to the vine for the latest
inspiration: premium wine cocktails. San Francisco master mixologist,
H. Joseph Ehrmann of the historic Elixir saloon has created this
cocktail featuring Night Harvest Shiraz. “This after-dinner drink
highlights the rich cherry heart of the Night Harvest Shiraz by
accentuating it with cherry liqueur. To balance the fruit and bring
a post-meal relaxing quality I added the complementary flavor of
coffee liqueur. A touch of pastis helps bring out the anise finish
on the wine while the garnish floats with style,” says Ehrmann.
