Partida Tequila Tasting Notes

In a recent test conducted by the Academy of Tequila, the official tasting board of Mexico, Partida Tequila rated the highest aggregate score. This is no surprise to tequila fanciers. To them, tequila should be appreciated slowly, with the same care and thoughtfulness as a fine cognac or single malt whiskey. Here are some notes on how to taste and savor premium tequila:

Partida Tequila shows its character and refinement from the moment it is poured, clinging to the glass like a fine wine. Begin your Partida Tequila tasting by breathing in its enticing aroma. Then observe its beautiful color and striation. Finally, sip slowly to enjoy its rich, pure, exceptionally smooth taste with a hint of sweetness that is the hallmark of Partida Tequila. The Partida Estate produces three unique premium Tequilas: Blanco, Reposado and Añejo

Partida Blanco (Not Aged)
Redolent of blue agave, Partida Blanco is brilliant, clean and crisp; very floral, with notes of citrus. Well balanced with a fresh, pure agave flavor and a pleasant finish that lingers gently on the palate.

Partida Reposado (Aged Six Months)
Partida Reposado is smooth and rich with Partida’s signature touch of sweetness. Aged in French Canadian oak, Partida Reposado delivers nuances of flavor tequila drinkers may not have thought possible without the overbearing smoky flavor common to so many Reposados. Beautiful light amber color with golden tones, transparent, clean and full bodied. Aromas of chocolate and vanilla, hazelnut and almond, and a deep, rich finish.

Partida Añejo (Aged 18 Months)
Partida Añejo exhibits a depth of flavor that only comes from advanced aging. It has intense golden color with ochre and copper tones and is clean and full-bodied, with a fruity aroma exhibiting notes of cherry, almond and spices. The flavor has soft honey fruit tones, with hints of spices and dried fruits reminiscent of sweet pear and almond, and a very pleasant finish. Tequila to be savored slowly.
