Strawberry Batida

A longtime favorite on Brazilian beaches, the coconut, strawberry and kiwi versions of the drink served at Bahia, the open-air bar at the Four Seasons Miami Hotel are prepared using a traditional Brazilian recipe where the fruit pulp is blended with cachaça (sugarcane brandy) or vodka. Here’s the strawberry version:

Brazilian Strawberry Batida

1 cup of strawberry pulp (frozen or fresh mashed strawberries)
3 tablespoons of condensed milk
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
4 ounces of cachaca or vodka
Blend all in the ingredients in blender and serve over ice. Yields 4
